Christmas Mini Album Day 1

Hello and Welcome

I am working on a cute little album for Christmas and to celebrate me getting back with Close To My Heart as a consultant.
From now until Christmas Eve I will be posting my progress with the album.
It is going to be six pages

So here is Day 1 of My Mini Album Using Artiste Cartridge.

I cut all the pages out of Chip board that I purchased at Michael's.
I cut the pages at 5" one of each page, they can be found on page 60 of the handbook.
Then i cut the papers to cover each page at the same size from my paper pad that I also purchased at Michael's, 6x6 paper pad " Holly Day Wishes" by Recollections.

I love this is paper and wish I could have found more of it

Here are the pages covered

Papers lined up perfectly with the Chipboard cut outs

I started with inking all the edges of the pages using CTMH ink pad Chocolate.
I loved the nice finished that it gives to the edges.

I wanted to something simple for the cover page.

Cover Page:
Cut beige @ 3 3/4"
Cut brown @ 3 1/2"
Ornament is cut at 3 1/4"
I punched a hole in the top of the ornament and added an eyelet and strung a piece of hemp through the top

I embossed the brown card stock using Tim Holtz Embossing Folder from " Christmas Background and Border Set"
I inked the edges of the mats and the ornament as well.

Page 2:
Simple Page

Cut 2 mats - 1 out of Beige @ 3 3/4" and 1 out of Dark Green @ 3 1/2"

Page 3:
Cut beige cardstock @ 6" x 3 1/4"
score in half to make a folder
Cut mat for the front @ 3" x 2 3/4"
Rounded the outer edges
add adhesive to only 3 sides to make a pocket to add some tags behind it for additional photos or journalling

Tags (Page 69 ) cut @ 2 1/2" covered one before cutting with the foil tape and then adhered them together after cutting
before putting them together I used Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink "Meadow" to stain the foil side of the tag.
Cut a second tag same size out twice and glued together.
Added hemp to the tags
on the second tag I added an eyelet before adding the hemp.

Cut mitten (Page 79) @ 2 1/2"
inked the edges and added a off white pearl to the center of the snowflake on the mitten.

On the folder I added some stitch lines around the edges on the outside and inside and on the cuff of the mitten too
Also on the tags.

Artiste Mini Album

Good Morning Everyone!

5 More Days til Christmas ... the time is just flying by and I am still running so behind right now on gift making and baking. I woke up this morning at 5 a.m., so I could get an early start with no children around me, but that did not work out to good for me. Mackenzie woke up with me and has been in the craft room on and off all morning with me.

Today I decided that I am going to play around with my newest cartridge Artiste and make a Quick and Simple Mini Album for Christmas for my family. It is a our first christmas in the new  apartment and it has been a very hard and difficult year.

I bought a 6x6 Christmas card stock pad from Michael's a couple of weeks ago and I have been trying to figure out what I was going to make with it, well I am going to use it today on my Mini Album

It is double sided and it is so cute.

I love the pages from the Artiste Cartridge and I was going to use the measurements that they on the samples that they send you, but I wanted mine to be a bit bigger, so I ended up cutting mine out at 5" instead of 3 3/4"

So I have all my pages cut out and now it is time to cut the paper to cover the pages, I am just going to make this quick and simple and have fun with it
I love making these Mini Albums and I think this cartridge is going to be a life saver when it comes to making them....
I am going to make it 6 pages, not sure if I am going to use rings to put it together or ribbon or hemp... Will decided later...
Stop by and Pick your Cricut Artiste Cartridge Today!

Everything you see here is what you will get in your Cartridge Bundle...
Image all the Projects that you could complete with this Wonderful Cartridge...

Christmas Goodie Bags

Welcome to Scrapping With Audrey...

Can not believe that is 6 days until Christmas...
Is Everyone ready and done with all your shopping?
I just finished mine yesterday but I am still crafting and baking some of the gifts, it doesn't seem like I will ever finish

Today I have been working on Goodie Bags for my Daughter's classrooms
The teacher asked that we don't go over board with them so I filled them simply with a box of crayons, lollipop and a candy cane..

I had to make 19 for each classroom, so a total of 38.
I decided that I wanted to make them different for each class too...
Mackenzie got Blue/White with a saying and Autumn got Green/Red with a little tree.

I got to use my new Cartridge today from Close To My Heart "Artiste". I am in love with this cartridge and I am so happy that I got it and I love all the stamps that I got with it.

Here are Mackenzie's Goodie Bags

Here are Autumn's Goodie Bags

I have also been working on a few more cards that I have to hand out to some friends this week and to my ambulance crew members...

I love how these turned out

Snowman Soup Treats

Morning To Everyone!

I have been very busy with getting things finished for Christmas around here... So much to get done and not enough time...

My youngest daughter's Daisy Leader and I finally got connected to get her started in her troop. So for her first meeting they were going Caroling at one of the local Nursing Homes.. I was so excited for my daughter and was so upset that I actually had to work that night, but her daddy took her and he got a picture for me. And best part she earned her first badge... how exciting!

Well for her troop I wanted to make them something special. I decided to put together some snowman soup for them...

How I made these:
I cut the base 8 1/2" x 4"
scored at 6 1/2"
cut the pattern paper at 1 3/4" by 3 3/4"
beige card stock cut at 2 1/4" and then used my snowflake border punch and adhered it on the inside of the flap
Cut the snowflake base and top out at 2 1/4" (Snowflake cut from "Cricut Winter Lace" )

In the baggie I put:
2 Hershey Kisses
Candy Cane
Mini Marshmallows
Hot Cocoa Pack

You can find some many cute little Snowman Poems to add to them too... I was in such a hurry to get them finished that I forgot to add one to the baggie...
But in the end they were a big hit with girls and the leader loved them and thought they were a great little treat for the girls...

They were fun to make and quick too...

I am thinking about doing a video on these ... These would be great to hand out to teachers, neigbors and etc...

I have some excited news ...

I am back with Close To My Heart ... yay!!!

Create A Critter 2

Hello Everyone!

I am so happy! I finally got Create A Critter 2 Cartridge today. Michaels has them on sale this week for $24.99 and they had it in stock finally.
I can't wait to start playing with it and creating some cute things. I am going to play with the Pilgrim Squirrel and the Teddy Bear Indian Girl and maybe the Turkey too.

Even my daughter's are excited to play with this adorable cartridge...

How is everyone making out for Thanksgiving? We are going to start our baking tomorrow and getting the house all organized for our guest. We have a few friends coming for dinner. We will be having an early dinner and then I am on Ambulance Duty for the night. I have had Ambulance Duty on Thanksgiving for the past 4 yrs and I would not change it for anything.

We are going to do a dessert night together at the Ambulance and have a little celebration like we do every year with my crew.

Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone!

Snow Flake Card

Hello Everyone...
I have been very busy lately trying to get things ready for the holidays and get the girls settled into the new apartment. It has not been easy getting them adjusted to the new place or myself either. But we are getting there slowly.. .alot of changes and have to get used to them.

Well today I have been playing in the craft room and trying to get some things finished for the holidays.
A friend of me contacted me about helping put together a little care package to send overseas to her hubby and his squad and I said I would love to help out with what I can. So I am going to be baking up some cookies this week and then I am going to be sitting with the girls and a couple of their friends and we are going to make some Cards for them

I am thinking of having the girls use the Create A Critter Cartridge to make them their cards...
I think the squad is going to love seeing all the goodies and the cards that are being put together just for them ...

Well on to what I have created today... I thought I should get started on my Christmas cards and that way I can get them addressed and ready for the mail right after Thanksgiving...
I was playing with my Cricut and thought how much I love the snow and I figured I would make some snowflakes cards this year...
I pulled out the Art Philosphy Cartridge and my Pink Stamper Stamps
Here is the Little Card that I came up with...
( I also printed the saying out with the printer and then carefully trimmed to the size I needed for the inside of the card)
here is where you can get some great sayings for the inside of your holiday cards
  http://www.homemade-gifts-made-easy.com/christmas-card-messages.html#general

Card base is cut at 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" then folded to make a 4 1/4" square card
layer one is cut at 4"x4"
layer two is cut at 3 3/4" x 3 3/4"
Then I used my cuttlebug and snowflake embossing folder

Snow flake base and top layer are cut at 3"
Stamp Set is from My Pink Stamper " Winter Punnies"

I am now off to make some more of my Christmas Cards... Happy Crafting Everyone...
