Girls Day!!!

Today I am spending the day with my girls. We are having a little girls time before school starts Monday. I have 2 that will be in school full day and my youngest will be in afternoon kindergarten. So we are going to make some cards today for St. Jude's and then tomorrow we are going to mail them out. I enjoy my crafting days with my girls and love teaching them new things, but the best part is when they teach me, kids have great imaginations and come up with some different ways of doing things. My best friend is coming over to do some crafting with us today too... so it is going to be great day crafting...

Well here is a card that I made yesterday

I used Jolly Holidays

Ok it is time to get creating with the girls ... Happy Crafting Everyone!!!

More Cards

Wow what a day. Earthquakes and now watching hurricane Irene moving on in. We are tracking this Hurricane. It is looking like we are going to be getting hit with it over this coming weekend. Over the next few days we are going to be getting things together just in case and make sure we have lots of batteries, candles and etc.

Today I was trying to work on some cards. I did this cute little Autumn themed one today and yesterday I made this cute Christmas one. I love them both and can’t wait to make some more tomorrow. One is a Easel card and the other is a double card fold one. I love the looks of both of them.

Autumn Card, I used Happy Hauntings and Straight From the Nest
Christmas Card, I used Jolly Holidays, Christmas, Once Upone a Princess and George and Basic Shapes.

I would like send my thoughts and prayers out to everyone that was affected by the Earthquake today and everyone that is in the path of Hurricane Irene… Be safe!

Happy Crafting Everyone!!!!

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. I have been down with a cold or virus. Today I am feeling a little better and wanted to get up and try to do a few things in the craft room. I have a few things I need to work on for the design team and then I would like to work on some more cards for St.Jude's.

We were in a Parade on Sunday with our Fire Company. I was so excited my daughter's got to ride on our Antique Fire truck during the parade, My son and I marched, and my hubby drove the Rescue.

This is our antique fire truck
this is our Service Truck, Our Engine Truck and the Resuce behind...

I was surprised at the turn out for the parade cause of the rain.. but it was a beautiful turn out .

Well time for me to get to creating...

Minnie's First Card

My daughter Minnie (Mackenzie) came to me today and say she wanted to make her own card for St Jude's. I asked her what she wanted to make and she went and picked out her colors and then she looked at my cartridges and picked "Create A Critter".
I have to say I was surprised at how she picked everything and she knew it would all go together nicely too...

I helped her with some of the stuff like cutting and placing on the mat.
She pressed all the buttons and etc...

Good Morning Everyone! Happy Monday

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, but the other day I did a double shift with the Ambulance and first part of it was an all day event and I was in the heat and the sun all day. I wasn't feeling all day yesterday. I have been trying to rest and take it easy for the past 24 hours. I got a little heat exhaustion. Today I am feeling a little better but I am still going to take it slow and easy.
Today it is supposed to be very hot and muggy, so we are staying in the house with the A/C going and watching movies and crafting...
Well I am off to get some coffee and get crafting...

Have a great day and Happy Crafting!!!

Encouragment

I am asking all my crafty friends and family if they would be interested in helping so some encouragement to a another crafty friends son... He has been battle a bad drug addiction problem for a few years now. Just recently he went into rehab for help and he has been doing well since he started the program, he has a rough road ahead of him. He is only 18 years old. I would love to do something to help him know he has all support that he needs and show him some encouragement to continue on this long road ahead of him..
I was thinking if everyone could make or send a card to him letting him know people do care and support him on this. If you would like to help out please email me at scrappyemt@yahoo.com for more details...
Here is a picture of him and his mom...
I work in the EMS field and I see young people go through this and it breaks my heart. But this young man got help and he wants to continue on the right road, so please lets show him we all support him and show his mom that we are all here for her too... Thank you !!!!!
Sending thoughts and prayers to you Justin.. you can do this.. you are doing a great job and I am proud that you... Keep on going ...
