DT Weekly Post "Sweets for your Sweets"

Hello Everyone! Sorry that I did not get this posted this morning, but blogger was giving me a hard time. 

The Design Team was asked to create something using cupcakes, cake, ice cream and etc. They could make anything using any colors that they wanted. 

I made this invite for my daughter's birthday party. 

It is a Pocket Card. 

 I used " Sweet Treat" Cartridge 

I cut the base of the pocket at 4 1/4" x 11"

Front Layer cut at 4" x 4" 

Score the pocket at 1 1/2" for the little flap

and at 5"

I used the corner punch to round the edges. 

I put the ribbon around the flap and then adhered to the front of the pocket. 

I cut the tag out at 5" 

                                     I cut the cupcake at 2 1/2" 

I also used the cuttlebug and two of the folders for the front layer and the top of the cupcake and the top of the tag. 

I love how it turned out and I think her friends are going to love getting these as invites. 

I am now off to make a total of 25 of them. 

Her theme is " Cupcakes" and we are going to have a cupcake decorating station set up so all the guest can decorate their own cupcakes. It is going to be so much seeing how everyone decorates them.

DT Weekly Post... Kites

Welcome to Our Design Team Weekly Project Post.. 

I had asked the Team to create something with a Kite Theme... They could create anything that they wanted to as long as it involved kites..

I woke up this morning and just felt yucky. So I was taking it easy today and trying to rest.

Yesterday Hubby took me shopping for some new crafting supplies. Oh what fun it was and I got some great stuff. I got a Cuttlebug. I have been using the Purse Embossing unit and loved it, but hubby thought it would be nice for me to have a cuttlebug which matches the theme of my craft room. And he also got me a new camera too. I am so excited and happy with my new toys. 

Here is a pictures from my new camera. 

 These are my two puppies... Sammie and Trixie ( Sammy is a Jack Russell, we rescued her from a unsafe home last month) Trixie is my baby, she is a Maltese. Hubby got me her when I passed my EMT Exam and during a rough time in our lives.... 

This a picture I took of the card I made the other day. I was trying to make a Mini Photo Studio and I used this card to try it out... It is taken with the new camera. I am thinking I am going to like this new camera... 

Well it is time for me to cook dinner and then off to the store to get some more medicine. Hopefully will be feeling better tomorrow. Tomorrow is my long day on Ambulance Duty.

DT Weekly Post : Baby Theme

The Design Team was asked to create something for a baby, they could do a scrapbook layout, card, invite or anything just as long as it was for a baby. 

I think they all did a beautiful job with all their projects. You can click on their links at the bottom of this post and go to their blogs and see what they came up with for this weeks project. 

For me I decided that I wanted to play with my imagine and Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge. 

I have been wanting to try to do one of the babies from that cartridge. So here is what I came up with. I really love how this cute little card turned out. 

Cartridges Used:

Everyday Paper Dolls

Imagine Baby Boutique

I cut the base of the card at 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Baby was cut out at 4", baby head was cut out on blackout. 

base layer was cut at 5 1/4" x 4"

2nd layer was cut at 3 3/4" x 5" 

Stripe was cut at 1 1/2" x 3 3/4" 

I used the polka dot Cuttlebug folder for the stripe. 

I used the 1" face stamp from Peachy Keen PK 490 set to stamp the little face. ( I just love those little face stamps) 

I used the imagine for the shape to stamp my little "Welcome Baby" Lite blue was cut @1 1/4" 

White was cut @ 1" 

I love how this little baby boy card turned out. I am giving it to a friend of mine that just had a little baby boy.

DT Weekly Project: Celebrations

Good Morning Everyone! I hope everyone is doing well on this beautiful Thursday morning. 

I made an oops and was supposed to post this yesterday for the Design Teams Weekly Post, but I kind of lost a day. Sorry about that. 

It has been a crazy week around here lately. We had a School Delay on Tuesday and then I have been on Ambulance Duty Day Crew for the past week too and tonight I have my regular shift on the Ambulance. So a little off this week. 

For this weeks DT Post, I asked the design team to Create something with the theme Celebrations. They had to create a something for decorations, party favors and etc. They all did an awesome job with their projects. I can't wait for you all to see what they have come up with ... 

I am still working on mine cause like I said I am a little behind..... 

I will update this post with my project shortly, but meantime please stop by the Design Teams Blogs and see what they have created this week and please comment on their post.

Here is my Update!


I made this framed " FAMILY" for a Table Center Piece.
I used a frame that I got at the dollar store and painted it black.
Cartridges I used: Flower Shoppe
I cut the flower pieces out at 1 3/4", 1 1/4" and the spiral part at 1 1/2"
I inked the edges with some of Tim Holtz Walnut Ink
I cut the leaf out at 1 3/4" and inked the edges and I used a ball tip tool and made the veins in the leaves and then I inked them to highlight them.
I cut the word " FAMILY" out of vinyl on my gypsy
Paper is from Michael's one of their packs of 8 1/2 x 11. ( I just really love that paper)
This would be great to use at Family Reunions or Some type of Family Gatherings, you could even just hang it up on the wall too.... I am going to make some more of these for myself to hang up.... add some ribbon to the top of it for hanging to add that more antique look too it, which I am thinking I might do...

DT Post: Use Red, PInk, Green and Yellow UPDATED!

Good Morning Everyone! 

Today the DT had a challenge of having to use these four colors in the project.. .They have all done a wonderful job with it and they have all come up with some really wonderful projects... Now me on the other hand well I still haven't come up with anything, but I am working on it right now... LOL.. They could create anything as long as all four colors were in the project..

Ok Here is my DT Challenge Project for today... I used my imagine to create this adorable Little Owl Card. I used " Create A Critter Cartridge and Imagine More Cartridge" . I had a very hard time coming up with something to make for this Challenge but I did.... I really like how it turned out.. I think I am going to give this card to my mom, she loves Owls and anything hand made...
