NH Trip Mini Album

Hello Everyone!
I decided that I wanted to make a Mini Album for our trip to New Hampshire this past weekend. I had some chip board that I bought a couple of months ago just laying around and got some paper out and started to cover the chipboard. Now I am using a few different cartridges to cut out some things for the album. I used my New Bind It All too for the first time.
So far I am trying to figure out if I should only use the chipboard for the covers and then just card stock in the center, the chipboard I got is pretty thick so I am wondering if maybe I should try to get some thinner chipboard for the center pages or what. I can always use the ones that I have already covered for other books for the trip for my daughters.
Here are some of the pages so far. I am also making envelopes to use to put some notes in them and photos too. and I am going to make some little journal tabs too.

This is going to be the cover. I am going to cut out a moose and Pine Tree for it and maybe some pine cones (3D)

This is only page and the little envelopes and journal tab that I am talking about. I am going to put a few more in there. I am going to had some branches and etc to these pages and etc to dress it up.

These are two more pages.. I love the tone on tone that I did using CTMH Stamp from "A Garden". It is a cute little set.

I think I am going to use this one as the back cover.

I will post pictures as it comes together.. I can't wait to have this one finished and see it.
I still have some ideas that I am working on ... if anyone would like to share suggestions please do... I love hearing about other ideas...
Well it is time for me to get back to working on this album.
Happy Creating!

Mini Vacation Weekend

Hello and Happy Monday Everyone!

Had a great weekend. We took a trip North to Lancaster New Hampshire to see one of my best friends (sis) and my nieces.
It has been about 3 years since I have seen her and my youngest niece. My nieces are growing up so fast.
We arrived on Friday and it was beautiful out and the sun was shining, nice day for a drive.
The first night we all met at our Motel Room and had dinner together. The next day my nieces came to the motel to hang out with us and my daughter's. I loved spending time with them and hearing all about what they have been doing and catching up with them. I miss them so much.
Hubby, my girls and me took a ride to the Fuller's Maple Syrup Store and got to see and hear how they process it from the trees to the bottles. It was interesting and fun. The girls loved it, we picked up some maple syrup to bring home.

Sunday we left to return home, we stopped Merrimack New Hampshire to the Budweiser Brewery to take a Tour.
It was approx. a 2 hour tour we got to go through the plant and also down to the stables to see the horses. The girls wanted to bring one home .. I laughed and asked them where were we going to keep them at, my youngest said in her room... haha! The stalls in the stable are bigger than her room.
It was a beautiful and very joyful time with the family at the Brewery. After the tour we got to go to the gift shop and we picked up a few things ..

Wish we did not have to come home so early but the girls had school and hubby and I need to get back to work. We are going to plan a camping trip back up North for this summer.

I did miss playing in my craft room this weekend too, so today I am going to be heading back into the craft room and working on some things for their scrapbooks and some other things.

Just a little reminder...
If you have been thinking about becoming a Independent Consultant for Close To My Heart, now is the perfect time and you can get either Art Philosophy Cartridge or $100 in product with your kit for $99... time is running out you only have until March 31, 2012. Stop on by and check it out...

Home

Hello Everyone!
Hope everyone had a great weekend. We had a full weekend of classes and lectures at the EMS Conference.
It was a good weekend, filled with a lot of information and we all did have fun after the classes at night. We all got to go down to the pool and the hot tube and relax from our day of classes and lectures.
But happy to be home after the weekend, I missed my daughters and missed crafting this weekend.
My daughter's had a wonderful time though with their Grammie and their Cousin this weekend.

But now that we are home it is back to business.. I have also been thinking about a few changes that I will be making this next coming week.
I am resigning from "Stampin Up". I love their products but as a consultant it is not for me.
I will still use their products in some of my projects and etc, but I am just not going to be a consultant with them. But if anyone is looking for a Stampin Up Consultant please let me know.. I have met some wonderful consultants that would be more than gladly to help you all.

Well it is now time for me to get the video camera out and set up and get ready to make a video for everyone. .I am going to be doing in on the little Candy treat holder that I made last week.. it was made for St.Patrick's Day, but you can make it for any holiday, event or occasion you would like.. I am actually going to be making a few for Easter.
I am hoping that I will be able to get it finished and uploaded for everyone today, but if not it will be up by tomorrow for you.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you all have a wonderful day
Happy Creating!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!
Wow this week seems to be flying by.
Today the Design Team was asked to create something with the St. Patrick Theme.
They could make anything as long as it was St.Patrick's Theme.

St.Patrick's Day is a very special day for my family. My Daughter Mackenzie was born on St.Patrick's Day in 2004. I call her my little Irish Sunshine!
It is funny cause her favorite color is Green.
We celebrated her birthday early this year, cause I will be away this coming weekend for a EMS Conference.
We found her a Green bike for her birthday and she loves it.

So here is what the Design Team did for this weeks Challenge.
Make sure you stop by their blogs and see all the information on their projects.. (just click on their names and it will take you to their blog)

Now on to my Project for today. I have been trying to figure out what I was going to make for today. I wasn't sure if I wanted to make a card, a favor, or a layout ...
Well I finally decided that I would make a  Favor Treat Bag for my daughter's for St.Patrick's Day!

Here is what I came up with. I love how cute it turned out. I used a little baggie inside with 2 Mini Twix Bars.

Here is how I made it:
Base cut at 3 1/2" x 9"
Score at  1", 4 1/2" and 5 1/2"
White layer cut at 3 1/4" x 3 1/4"
Black Layer cut at 3"x3"
I used my dots folder (cuttlebug) for the black layer

Flap pieces are cut at 3/4"x 3 1/4" white
1/2" x 3" Black (did not cuttlebug this layer)

Cartridge Designer's Calendar
Cut the Shamrock out at 2 3/4" both regular layer and shadow
I used Peachy Keen Stamp Set " Snow Cutie Faces" to do the little face on the Shamrock.
I then put a little piece of double sided tape inside on the back part right under the flap score line to put the baggie there to hold it in place.
I used my crop-a-dile to punch a couple of little holes to thread the ribbon threw.
I really love how cute it turned out.

I hope you enjoyed what the Team put together for you all. Please try to leave comments for the team everyone loves to hear what you think of their projects. And if you are not a follower please become a follower... Each week we have different Design Team Challenges and some really wonderful Projects....

Thank you for stopping by today and hope you stop back by soon...
Have a Wonderful Day and Happy Creating!

It is Monday Already?

Good Morning Everyone!
It is Monday already, wow where did the weekend go?
We had my daughter's 8th Birthday Party this weekend it was wonderful. The weather was beautiful too.

It was great seeing some family and friends that we have not seen in a while too.
My daughter and all of her guest loved running around and playing with all the balloons.
My daughter and her guest got to decorate their own cupcakes with gummy bears, gum drops, sprinkles and etc. It was great watching what each one of them did to decorate their cupcakes. I had dyed some frosting for them and they also had the vanilla and chocolate.

Here is the birthday girl with her one of her friends and my youngest daughter decorating their cupcakes. My mom behind us watching and enjoying watching them frost their cupcakes.

Here is one of the Candy Bouquets that I made for the tables. I love how they turned out. I used the Mini Candy Bars to make them. (not too good of a picture)
The two grandmother's ended up taking them (hahaha)
I got the little pails from Walmart (Easter Department)
I made the pinwheels using my cameo and the print and cut feature, attached them to colored straws.

Here is the birthday girls cupcake.. I love it!

Here is my oldest daughter and one of her friends decorating their cupcakes. They were having a blast.

Here is the cupcake decorating table with the kids decorating their cupcakes

My youngest daughter's cupcake creation. I think she did the best ...

My beautiful granddaughter blowing me kisses after having her chocolate cupcake .. love it..

Birthday girl with her new bike... she wanted a new bike. So we found this bike that morning of her party and it was her favorite color. So we brought it my BFF's house and put it in her car and Minnie had no idea that we had gotten it for her.

It was also a very important day for my mom and my mother in law... They both finally got to meet their Great Granddaughter Tatyana. Tatyana is their First Great Granddaughter on both sides. Tatyana also got to meet her Great Aunt Dawn on my Hubby's side of the family.

My Mom, My son Mike, Tatyana (grandbaby), Me, and of course the beautiful birthday girl.

My Wonderful Mother in Law, My hubby, Tatyana and My son Mike.

We also had surprised my mother in law with a new camera. Two days before my father in law passed away. Someone had stolen her camera and cell phone. And she had not replaced the camera yet, so hubby and I thought we would do it for her, we knew she would love to have a camera to get pictures of her grandbabies and her great grandbaby... she loved the camera and she was so excited and couldn't wait to start getting her family photos.
The week before we surprised her with a scrapbook album and some paper to get her started on a family scrapbook, that her and I are going to make together. She can't wait to get started. I even picked out some cowboy themed paper/cardstock for her to make a few pages for my father in law. He was a man in black cowboy. We love and miss you dad!

Well it was a wonderful day and filled with laughter and joy by all. And most important it was a day to celebrate life and family.

Well now it is time for me to get ready to start to plan my oldest daughter's Sweet 16 Party. It might be 6 months away... but I better get busy now on it ...

Thank you for stopping by and sharing this wonderful day with us.

Happy Crafting and God Bless!

Jinger Adams Design Team Call

Hello Everyone! I am so excited Jinger Adams just announced a Design Team Call...

I thought I would try out for her Design Team.. I love to share my projects with everyone and offer help when I can. I also love to be able to learn for others.
I have only been using my cricut for the past year and I love it.
I have been into scrapbooking and so many more crafts every since I was a young kid. I learned so many different crafts growing up from my grandmother, grandfather and my mother.
And now today I am teaching my children everything that I have learned and will learn in the future...

My middle daughter today was helping in the craft room and she was helping to design her little "Thank You" treat bags for her birthday party...
I love creating new things for my children, family and friends..
Handmade items are more personal.

Here it is.. I love how it turned out...

I used Art Philosophy and Sweet Treats to make this cute little Treat Favor. I used tule and curly ribbon to make the little bow knot on the handle.. I used a glue dot to hold it there.
The Treat bag is cut at 5.5"
cupcake is cut at 2.5"
the little tag is cut at 1.5" (from sweet treats).
The white are punched using one of my favorite punches from EK.

I hope you enjoyed my little project. Now it is time for me head off to make 24 more..
Thank you for stopping by and Make sure you come back often for more wonderful projects.
Happy Creating!
