Theme Day Thursday Winter 10/20

This is my project for today. I am still in the working stages with it. I am going to be adding a boy on top of it and wrapping the sides with the same ribbon. I added lights inside of it, but I have a little problem, my cord is green and it shows too much, so I am on the hunt for a white string set of lights for it.

This is the small glass block that I got at Michael's. I used the Frosting glass spray by Krylon.

I used Winter Woodland Cartridge to make the Snowflake template and then did 2 coats of the frosting spray. I let it dry an hour in between both coats and then let it set for 48 hours before doing anything else to do.

I am looking forward to making some more of these and giving them as gifts this year....

I am going to working on a few of them this weekend and taking them to the Craft Fairs...

Theme Day Thursdays DT 10/13

Good Morning Everyone and Welcome to Theme Day Thursdays...

Go over to Erica's Craft Room and check out all the other projects from everyone.  

Theme was Paper Dolls/Costumes.

I used Paper Doll Dress Up and made up this wonderful Halloween Layout.

I used Paper Doll Dress Up and Designer's Calendar

I cut each one of the dolls at 3.5" (Paper Doll Dress Up)

I cut the Spider and Web at 4.5"( Paper Doll Dress Up)

I cut Halloween at 2.5" ( Designer's Calendar) I also used the Gypsy

Photo made is cut as follows:

Orange 4.5"

White 4"

Purple 3.75"

I used wiggly eyes on the spider and I used my white embossing powder on the spider web. I used a piece of white string on the spider to the web.

Gloomy Wednesday

It is very gloomy and yucky out today here. It is supposed to rain this afternoon. I love the fall but hate the rain.

Today I am working on a few things for the DT and taking care of two sick little ones. My 2 younger daughters are sick with ear infections and head colds. I was up all night with both of them running fevers. Today the fevers have broken and they are resting. So I am doing a little scrapping today.

I am working on the plans for a scrapbooking night at my house with some of my friends that want to learn how to do scrapbooking and use their cricut.

Happy Thursday

Happy Thursday Everyone! It is still a bit crazy around here. But we are slowly getting back into our regular schedules. It is taken sometime and we have had a few little set backs but we keep our heads held high and moving forward.

My daughters are doing great and enjoying life again. I am so proud of my girls for their strengths.

My husband and me went last night and got tattoos to show them how proud we are of them. I will post a picture later of them.

Today I am going to do a few things around the house and then it is off to work in the Craft room for a little bit and then I am off to the Ambulance for the night. It is going to be a crazy weekend and busy too.

Thank you everyone for your support, thoughts and prayers it has been very helpful knowing we have friends and family to help us through this hard time.

Well I am off to get started with my day.

Festive Fridays DT

Festive Fridays 9/30/2011

Today over at Erica's Craft Room is Festive Friday.

I decided that I was going to make a scrapbook page for halloween and use my "Happy Hauntings" Cartridge for this project. I really like how this page turned out.

Here is the instructions...

I used Happy Hauntings and the Gypsy

I cut the pumpkin @ 4"

cut the Witches at 3.5"

Cut the words " Happy Halloween" at 2.5"

Stripes were cut at 3" x 12"

Photo Mat (upper) :yellow @4" purple @ 3 3/4"

(Lower) Orange cut @ 3.5" and the yellow @ 31/4"

I enjoyed this great halloween page.

Sorry I have been gone

Hello everyone sorry I have been gone for so long. But I have a lot of things happening in my life with my family and especially with my children since the end of last month.

It has been very emotional and stressful for the past month for my daughters and my family.

Something happened that no one would ever image would happen to one of their children and by someone that is part of the family. Everyone is well now and we are just going through alot of healing and trying to get on with our lives now.

I am thankful for my children and I would not know what I would do with out any of them. Each one of them are their own person and each one brings so much to my life.

I would like to say I am so proud of my oldest daughter for standing up and trying to do what she needed to do to protect her younger sisters and I am so blessed to have her as my daughter.

If it wasn't for her my 7 year old would not be a live today. Thank you Kate-Lyn, you are my hero and you are such a brave girl. I love you!

This morning my daughters looked at me and asked me when I was going to go and relax. They reassured me that they are alright and they need me to be who I was a few weeks ago. So I told them that I now know that they are safe and alive I will start to get back to being who I was before all of this happened.

So today I am sitting in the craft room and I am looking through things that I need to work on a get back to be my creative self.

Today I am going to work on some cards for each one of my daughters to tell them how each one of them are so special to me and what they have brought to my life....

Thank you everyone for all the wonderful thoughts and prayers and the support that you all have given me during this very emotional and traumativing situation... I am so blessed to have family and friends like you all in my life...

First Day of School!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning! Today is the first day of school here for my girls. They were supposed to have started last week, but due Hurricane Irene it had to be cancelled for the week. The girls are excited and 2 are already off to start their day. My baby starts Kindergarten today and she is all excited and can't wait to go to the bus stop...

Well time to start getting the youngest ready for the bus... Happy Crafting Everyone!!!!

Hurricane Irene and No Power

We got hit with Hurricane Irene last weekend and we were without power for 5 days. We had no cell phone service either. It was a stressful 5 days. School was supposed to start on August 29th and was cancelled until September 6th. We also had no running water either. But we finally got power, cell phone service and water back on.

I was with the Ambulance Core during the Storm, I was stationed at the Plainfield High School with the Red Cross. I was there for 40 hours straight. It is an experience that I won't forget.

Well today I am off to get some crafting done! Happy Crafting Everyone !!!!!!!!
